Thank you Bob! I am going to use my local SDG&E filling station in Carlsbad. I live 3.6 miles from the station.

Go in running on CNG then pull the Alt Fuel fuse in the engine compartment. They should know how to do this if they are going to require it for THEIR test!

    Re: Greetings from San Diego

Hi I just signed up today and I am not allowed to start my own thread, and I have a real problem that I hope someone can answer. Please, Please. I have a 2001 Cavalier and went to Emmissions today and they have to test both Gasoline and on the CNG and it has to be right then and there. My car when it has CNG in it, runs on CNG and only after that is gone will it switch to Gasoline. Well I can't figure how to switch from CNG to gasoline and they don't know or care, and wont pass the car until I can show them how to do it. They wont let me come in on Gasoline and come back an hour later with CNG. Does anyone know how I can go to Emmissions and let them check the CNG and then know how I can make it run on Gasoline for there stupid test. It is so hot here in Arizona, and my wife spent 7 hours dealing with the most uncaring people in the world. Thank You so much for any help you can give.. Thank You Lanny

    Greetings from San Diego

    Hello Everyone-

I am new to these boards. I am the proud owner of a "new-to-me" '99 Civic GX. I am rolling the dice on this one, as it doesn't come with service records, and I'm buying it site unseen. I'm basically going off some pictures that were sent to me and several long conversations with the seller. Per the title it has an actual 75K miles and it looks pretty clean. The best part is, I paid $2400 (plus $900 shipping). I figure for $3,300, it's worth the risk (hopefully). I will know for sure in about 2 weeks when I get it

Best case scenario is that I get a clean, well-maintained, low mileage Civic GX that I can use for HOV lane access until 2015. Worst case scenario I suppose is that the car has been heavily smoked in, needs a new CNG tank and a High Pressure Regulator. Hopefully, it's somewhere in between.

Anyways, just wanted to say Hi. I have already scoured the boards for some great info and I am impressed that this community exists, and has so many dedicated members. I look forward to becoming a member of this community and can hopefully share some useful info with others some day...

    -Phil
