    two questions

    1. I have 3000 PSI tank. If I find a station and the PSI is on the pump is showing 3200 PSI, Would it be safe to fill my car?

    2. I I wanted to upgrade to 3600 PSI, just switching tanks is all that is needed or is there more?

    Thanks in advance.

As long as the pump is listed as a 3000# fill, it will be fine. The pumps fill the car to a temperature corrected 3000#, which on warm days, could be considerably higher than 3000#. The fill nozzle should be Blue for the 3000# fill, and Yellow for the 3600# fill.

In most cases, the all that needs to be changed is the tank and the fill connector (so it can accept 3600# nozzles). Some other components that MIGHT need upgraded are the regulators, and the PSV's. Check with a reputable conversion shop and they should be able to help you out/give you a quote on the work.

While this color scheme may be true for many Greenfield dispensers, it does not accurately describe older Greenfields (both P30 and P36 are black; you have to look for the "P30" or "P36" stamped into the plastic), or the some of the dispensers with "T" nozzles.
