Hi, I just purchased a 1999 ford contour cng/gas car. Of course I'm trying to get the cng to work. The indicator light for the cng mode goes on momentarily then goes off. I filled the tank and it went into cng mode for a moment then switched back to gas. Now the light goes on only momentarily then goes right off.
The fuel gauge does not read full when I switch it on to cng.
I checked the 1/4 turn ball valve under the passenger side of the car. It's in the on position.
I checked the fuses, and they looked okay.
I'm currently looking for the cng fuel filter and can't find it. It's supposed to be on the driver's side in front of the front wheel, according to the diagram.
My questions are:
What could be causing the cng to not engage and switch back quickly when it did?
Where is the cng fuel filter?
Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this figured out?
Thanks,
Mazzy
