  • Howdy from Texas!

Just wanted to say hi. I purchased a Civic Hybrid 2 years ago. Had I known about the Civic GX offered for sale, I would've waited. Now I'm considering an upgrade to the GX. But not sure how difficult or how many hoops I have to jump through to obtain one and have a home refueling station, particularly in Houston, TX.

About 4 years ago, a guy in Houston flagged me down while I was driving in my S2000. He remarked he used to have one as well and loved it. I asked him why he was driving a Civic instead and exclaimed that his was a GX on lease that runs on CNG. Too bad I was so ignorant at the time, should've asked him more questions.

If anyone has any contact info on fellow Houston CNG drivers/owners, please let me know.

All things considered , keep your hybrid for now. New and used gx prices are currently very high , and the same with home refuelling equip. Keep an eye on the gx supply situation , and if Honda starts making a lot more gx's in '09 or '10 , go for it then.

    Just my $.02
