  • Greetings from North Texas

Clean Energy has several stations here, in Garland, Irving, several in Dallas, one at each airport, and one by the main post office in Fort Worth. I used to live 2 miles from the one in Fort Worth but moved down here to Cleburne before I had the chance to use it.

I'm hoping to possibly pick up one of those 7700 package F-150 trucks from the D/FW airport auctions this summer. Last year, dedicated trucks were selling for $3000 and less. Bi-Fuel trucks for double that or more. I don't think I could use a dedicated truck HOWEVER the city of Cleburne has a fleet station with a CNG pump so it might be possible. I'll be looking into that and will post here with my findings. There is plumbing on our ranch for natural gas and Chesapeake is drilling all over the place. So maybe home fueling would be an option. I'm told by the previous homeowner that they were usng natural gas for heat and hot water before replacing those units for electric ones to make it a rental property.

    Welcome occupant:

There is alot of good, empirical, info here about using production natural gas. It needs to be filtered and compressed. Fueling from your land is about as American as it gets.

Good Luck. Please relate your experience to the group.
