Hi all,
I am new to this forum but have owned my 2009 Honda Civic GX since November last year.
One question I have is about refueling, I refuel in SoCal and I noticed that the refueling process pauses at 50% then continues.
But a few times it has broken at 50% and not continued on.
The reason for my question is that normally I get between 230 and 250 miles to a tank, this is at 3600psi. But when the refueling system breaks at 50% I expected to only get around 110-125 miles. Imagine my surprise when I was able to drive for 235 miles before the light came on... This was on a 50% fill.
Anyone know what is done after 50%? I mean if I can fill my car only 50% I can save about 7$ filling my car up. Also, is there any chance of receiving damage when doing this long term?
I have tested this by actually cancelling the fill at 50% and I still am able to reach over 220 miles without any issue.
Just curious.
