    LOL. Notice the greyed out areas of the papers on both sides of the computer. Nothing was changed on the CD ROM or tray.

    I assume it was an out-of-balance CD that fluttered enough in the drive to have hit something inside. It also could have been a CD with a crack in the substrate. Hard to tell at this point.

    Shatterd CD ROM

    This made quite a noise in a co-workers computer when it self destructed. Needless to say, it also destroyed the drive.
