The truck is mine and yes, it has the CA-carpool sticker.
It cannot compete with the civic - it is a different use model. I would not use the truck as a commuter car.
But if you need a truck, and drive in areas with not enough fueling stations you can take advantage of using regular gasoline AND want to save time by use the car-pool lane.
This truck is right for you.

DMV inspectors have been known to screw up when inspecting these trucks to mark down the motive power. This almost happened to me, but I corrected the inspector. Had I not corrected him, I could have applied for stickers and if Sacramento would not have caught on.....I would have had carpool stickers for my bifuel truck. I believe it takes 2 mistakes; one on the part of the DMV inspector and one one the part of the Sacramento division responsible for issuing the carpool stickers for a bifuel vehicle to receive carpool stickers in CA. And yes, it obviously happens once in a while.

So, they could have been issued to the VIN, and may even have the paper in the glove box for documentation. But, if you ever need replacements, or otherwise come to the attention of the CHP, or DMV, they could be revoked.

Thank you. I no longer need this truck and for commuting I drive my GX and really appreciate using the car-pool.
I am sure someone has a use for this truck and can use all the benefits:
- Drive the Carpool SOLO
- fill up with clean natural gas
- not getting stuck by not finding a refuelling station and be able to drive on regular gasoline
- load cargo in the truck's bed
- add 5 more passenger into the cab
- go off-road and use the 4x4

I am not so sure that it was a mistake. I could have sworn Bi-fuels and hybrids were able to apply for carpool decals until the decals ran out. I know I have seen one bi-fuel cavalier in the past with carpool decals also.

We've had a bi-fuel Contour in the past that had the stickers. I also talked to a guy that owned a Bronco that had the stickers as well. He told me that the DMV screwed up and let him get them when they shouldn't have.

Yes that is right I have seen many contours with carpool decals. I still am not sure its a mistake though. They applied under hybrid and got the decals. So I guess maybe I need to check the dictionary for hybred and bifuel to see if they are different
