Re: Nasty 5.8 earthquake just hit Chino Hills, CA
I was about 5 miles from the epicenter at work - there was a good first cracking sound and abrupt shock, but nothing that literally forced me out of my seat. However, it was still enough of a motion to cause me to dive for cover! But as a native California boy I mainly thought to myself "that wasn't too bad at all."
Cheers,
Todd

I was in Torrance at another company having one of our antennas tested. The building creaked then swayed.

It scared the crap out of me, I'm about 10 miles away in Brea, It felt like I was lifted off the ground. On the news (radio) they were heading to Costco (in Chino), so something is going on there.

Anyone live or work around the area, just wondering how that felt like in the epicenter? It sure felt pretty nasty here in Carson (35 miles away). An uneasy feeling as the ground seemed to keep rolling for a quite a few seconds there. Haven't heard of any bad news yet.
