Kudos to the City of Dallas for this bold move to clean the air and get us off foreign petroleum

Dallas has done this before, nothing new. It seems that some Texas properities switch back and forth. It was Dallas or Houston that went big into LNG and then changed their minds and went back to diesel.

Franz would know the history of the two properities.

I truly wish them well, as other massless transit agencies watch the success or failure of this switch over...

IMHO, petrol will continue to outpace the price of NG...

You're probably right. The management in transit are hard to change, except for guys like Dick Cromwell, who worked the switch over at Sun Line in the Coachella Valley. The other problem, if the change over is not done correctly, is the attitudes of the mechanics and maintenance people; it hard to get a diesel mechanic to change over to spark ignition. Sun Line did it very well with CNG and again on Hydrogen. Every one has to buy in. Fears and "wife's tales" must be disproven.

I still can't figuer out why Houston got out of LNG, they were a leader.
