Sounds like great news. I just looked at it briefly, but it looks like, in Utah at least, it includes additions to the public infrastruture as well.

Wow, good news for all of us! In Utah, we will have 16 new stations, upgrades to all the public stations, and three LNG stations to boot. It will be nice to have a few more stations around here.

John, is Natural Drive lined up to get some Malibus on the road around here?

We will likely get a few dozen Impala conversions in Utah. From this DOE grant we also have Impala conversions (mostly taxis) in TX, NE, IN too.

Does this mean that there will be public cng refueling stations coming to NE? If so, when and where?

Yes. The Midwest Region Alternative Fuels Project includes a public station off I-80 in Omaha. My taxi customer won that award to not only fill his Impalas but also include a public dispenser. It will likely be at an existing gasoline station.

Does anyone know where there are details as to the location of the new stations as well as the extent of the improvements? I was hoping for a few more stations here in Utah county and along the I-15 corridor to southern Utah.

Texas took home $38 million of the $300 million in stimulus money that the Department of Energy is shelling out for alternative vehicle projects.

For North Texas, this will mean more alternative fuel stations and more alternative vehicles on the road. Here's hoping it will also cut air pollution.

Re: CE gets it Cut of DOE Grants

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced the award of $34 million (11% of total funding by the DOE) to customers and government agency partners of Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (Nasdaq:CLNE) to offset the incremental cost of more than 800 new clean-burning natural gas-powered taxis, shuttle buses, refuse trucks and heavy-duty trucks.

All of the winning Clean Cities Coalitions must wait for their final contracts from DOE before making any announcements as to station locations, capacities, etc. These contracts will likely be inked in October.

My name is Ron Neal and in early 2009 I called the guys at M.U.D. in Omaha to tell them about the Clean Cities Grant. I also called Kansas City Clean Cities about the grant in early 2009. They were not aware of it. But after they did some fact checking and got right on top of it. KCCCC did an excellent job coordinating the grant and we won!

My company is American Energy Engineering, LLC. It is a turn-key CNG vehicle and VRA broker. I was awarded funding for six light-duty CNG Vehicles and VRA as part of the Midwest Energy Grant.

I am looking for a government agency or non-profit organization to sell up to five of these cars or pick-ups. I will discount a vehicle $4000 and a VRA $2000 if we are able to claim the tax and carbon credits.

So you if know anyone who wants about 20% off a CNG vehicle and home fueling device please call me at work. It is first come first serve on the discount.

Ps: I CAN order Honda Civics, Ford Fusions and Focus, F150, and chevy pick-ups as well.
