I've written the author of the article thanking him for his coverage of ngvs. It's great to see some decent mainstream coverage.

He did a good job of covering the cost of ngvs. But he did not talk about the fact that natural gas is clean, abundant, domestic, and terrorist free.

I remember Honda doing some promotion a while ago that you only pay $1.99/GGE but I think it was only for the first 18 months you own your GX. Curtis can probably remember better than I can.

Thanks, I was wondering if that was what he was referring to. I think that was a Honda/CE thing but it seems it was limited. The guy in the article seems to state it was forever.

Who knows, maybe 18 months is forever for some people...

The $1.99 was a Clean Energy promotion. I believe that they have something similar currently but it has nothing to do with American Honda.

That price (1.35) is at the Riverside station, which I tried to get fuel a while back with no luck, aparrantly you have to enter the pump number before you put your card in. I think the 1.99 cap was a deal with the city (Riverside), this has nothing to do with CE.

Never had a problem fueling at Riverside and always someone to chat with there.

I was there on a Sunday and there was nobody there. They do have a good variety of fuels including H2 and Propane. They have a large fleet of CNG vans all hooked up to slow fill hoses.

I've filled up at Riverside many times with no problems also. You have to make sure the card reader is on the same bank of dispensers as the dispenser you want to fuel at, otherwise I think it won't work.
