The demand for clean, cost-effective renewable natural gas (RNG) as a transportation fuel continued to rise in 2019. In the third quarter of this year alone Clean Energy realized 6.8 million gallons in new fuel contracts, along with an increase in contracts for station construction, fueling infrastructure upgrades and service agreements.

KeHE Distributors for BioMass Magazine April 09, 2020 - Clean Energy Fuels helps KeHE fuel its trucks with RNG

KeHE Distributors, a leading natural and organic, fresh and specialty distributor has partnered with Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to add low-carbon emission trucks fueled with RNG to their California fleet in 2020 by swapping five diesel trucks with natural gas trucks.

Tom Harden, corporate equipment manager at KeHE stated, “It made sense for us to partner with Kenworth, the number one driver preferred truck in America, that has a long-standing relationship with Clean Energy.”

Each of the five Kenworth CNG tractor trucks will travel approximately 90,000 miles per year using about 15,000 gallons of RNG per truck annually.
