Hi guys, Brian (CAMRYMAN) and I have been talking about getting a group here from CNGCHAT of CNG enthusiasts together for lunch to chat and enjoy some good food on a Saturday. I have got a great spot and hope you guys/gals can make it out and please chime in. I have chosen the location below for two reasons. Food & The Auto Book Store

1st The food Portos Bakery.
Great for lunch, mid-morning snack, or to satisfy those medianoche munchies, Porto's house specialties are proven crowd pleasers. Choose from a variety of mouth-watering Latin American sandwiches, hot-from-the-oven meat pies, potato balls, ham croquettes, and more. Then treat yourself to one of Porto's famously sweet pastries.

And the nearby (walking distance about 80 yards auto book store.

2) Autobooks was founded in 1951 by Harry Morrow, a well known formula 500 racer and all around car guy. Today they are the oldest and largest automotive bookstore in the US and one of the best Aeronautical stores in the US. Autobooks is a must see destination on every true car nut's list. People come from all over the world to meet like minded folks and find the books, die cast and videos they dream of. JAY LENO also pops in on Saturdays from time to time.

If you wonder just how good the food is, just ask John Mitton I took him to the Glendale location for lunch a while back. He said the Impala was full of crumbs by the time he made it to the next show

Yes I scheduled our lunch for the 22nd because there won't be ANY parking for us on the 15th as the parking lot will be full of porchses

I didn't go to Aero yesterday due to the fires and freeway closures.

But I drove to work today and the fire aftermath is way worse than what i could have imagined. The 600 mobile homes and about 10 miles of freeway burned on both sides. Looks like a war zone on the 210 freeway.

Just looking at the menu, the trip should be worth it. Beside I can check out the "kid's" new car and let her fix her "poor ol father" dinner -after the "daddy-dos" (like "honey-do's)

Bump, Its tomorrow 11:30am!

I will be in my CNG Camry parked over by the book store.
Lets meet there in the Aero book store parking lot at 11:30am and we can walk over to Portos as a group. I can answer any questions about the food for you Portos newbies before ordering.

Sorry I didn't make it today, I have a good excuse.... Installed My FMQ-2-36 It's up and running. I was finished at Noon, but I live an hour away.

There was 4 from CNG Chat there. Someone else with a GX showed up in the parking lot as we were leaving.

Maybe next time we can all get together out near Riverside. I know a great spot called "Arts Bar and Grille" right off the 91 and University.
