  • San Clemente to San Francisco and Back

I'm looking for feedback on the route. I'm looking at fueling in Oxnard, San Luis Obispo, Salinas, San Jose, San Francisco.

    Thanks

If you end up taking the route above, please post how your trip went. I've thought about taking that trip as well, to visit family in Jan Jose.

I would go up hwy 5 and fuel up in the new PGandE station Los Banos, CA. If you must take the 101 be sure you have a PGandE card. The stations only accept that card. Oxnard is an easy fill up.

I have the PG&E card on the way and the CNG access doesn't look particularly daunting, but I'm still chewing on the 10hrs going and returning. Hmmmm? Los Banos and the 5 would cut down on the drive time. As I recall this route takes about an hour off, is that about right?
