The federal tax credit is for CNG "Dedicated" vehicles only. These vehicles must be purchased brand new from a dealer. The credit is based on the vehicle weight.
The Utah state tax credit is as follows:
OEM vehicle (Honda Civic GX, Chevy Cavalier, Ford Contour, etc.) 50% of the incremental cost of the CNG option up to $3,000
Conversion vehicle (any vehicle that has an aftermarket conversion) 50% of the cost of the conversion up to $2500 (These conversions do not have to be EPA certified)

What make/model of cars have epa certified conversion kits available?
I am wondering what type of vehicle do I have to buy that will have an EPA certified conversion kit so that I can get the federal tax credit. I have heard that they have to have the same vehicle platform (ie engine and evap system) I think most of them are GM or Ford, just wondering the years, make, and models that qualify and the conversion companies that make them. Thanks for the helpTags: None
