Fillmore card reader is operational now! I just filled up there twice this week! No need to go inside first to prepay! Good Pressure too. In the last four weeks I have been through there four times and had very good pressure every time. Also, Cedar was down yesterday. That would have been good information to have since I came from Vegas and had enough to bypass St George (lately Cedar has been better than St George). I got just enough in Cedar to get me to Fillmore.

I seem to be the only one using twitter to give updates on pump pressure, so I am quitting on that end.

    Take care,

    Dan

Not only do the card readers work great, but there is a printer there to get your receipt. It is not easy to see when you are looking at the card reader straight on. It is stealthily positioned on the front of the card reader at the top front. Insert your card into the card reader a second time after you are done pumping. It should ask you if you want a receipt. Push the touch pad button that says yes. Now, bend your knees slightly and stoop down if your tall like me - look up above the card reader slot and you will see another slot that is horizontal. This slot is slightly obscured by the plastic window cover that slides down over the card reader. Look carefully and you'll see a small paper coming out of the horizontal slot or already sticking out. Stick your fingers behind the plastic window cover and grab the paper that's sticking out. Pull on it until it tears out of the roll. Now you have a receipt without going inside!

Speaking of 66's... the Ogden station is now a 66, not Chevron.
OK, now back on topic of Springville

Re: Springville Flying J - card readers in Utah

In Questar's testimony to the Public Service Commission it was mentioned that card readers are going in everywhere possible now. I just filled at Kix 66 in West Jordan and the old card reader there is now operational

You can listen to the presentation and view the powerpoint here:

I fueled there a couple of weeks ago and the card reader at the large truck pump had a credit card reader that was operational. It had a curious sign on it that said something to the effect that if you wanted a receipt, you needed to run your card a second time. There is no printer at the card reader. A customer who finished filling just after I filled had put his card in a second time and was baffled in searching where the receipt came out. Maybe you still need to take the long walk back to the counter to get a receipt.

I also noticed that a card reader was installed at Fillmore, but it was not operational when I last fueled there on August 29. It did not appear to have a printer at the reader either. Both readers are of the type I have seen at the 2nd South (Questar), Sandy, and Jordan (Canyons) District locations.

    Springville Flying J

Today, some one told me that you are now able to pay at the pump at the Springville Flying J. This is great news. The prepay inside system was painful to say the least.
Working...
