  • My letter to the Gov

    Befor I send this what do you think. It goes out Tuesday dose it get the point across the BOW

    Dear Governor Huntsman;

    In a recent political advertisement you mentioned that you had a part to play in the advances of transportation in Utah. Specifically Legacy Parkway, Frontrunner Rail, and the expansion of the Traxxs rail system. I believe however you have overlooked a system that exists today. It is a system that has proven to be worthy of anyone, who is concerned about our environment. Not to mention our inversion problem. It is a transportation system that is clean burning, much cleaner than the burning of gasoline and diesel fueled vehicles. There is said to be about nine thousand cars and light trucks running on CLEAN AND EFFICIENT NATURAL GAS IN UTAH.

    Eighty percent of those around the Wasatch Front from Brigham City to Payson. Natural gas is readily available in Utah, it does not need a smelly refinery. The infrastructure however was not built to handle this load. Utah might have the largest number of NGV’s in the nation. Utah like the Huntsman’s have always been on the forefront of innovation.

    It is hear you can show what your leadership means by supporting the availability and further development of the NGV infrastructure. Also as a state and community we can put pressure on the Federal Government to repeal the restrictions on NGV technology and also to get the EPA to rethink its policies on NGV certificates of approval. I believe the oil companies do what they can to keep the advances of CLEAN BURNING NGV’s locked up in the closet. If it is about our environment and keeping it clean this technology should be on the forefront of the auto industry and in Utah. I will post this letter on our web-site www.cngchat.com . I will await your response which I will also post on our web-site.

      rocketmanpete,

      Did you know that Gov. Huntsman drives a Chevy Suburban that runs on CNG? He had it converted by Sno-Motion (Go Natural) a little over a year ago. He visited the company I work for up (HyPerComp Engineering) here in Brigham City, and he wanted to convert his Suburban to run on Hydrogen, but we told him he won't be able to fill it up anywhere but California. Then he asked what is the next best thing, and we told him, CNG. The next day, he fired his energy advisor and got a new one. Then he scheduled with Sno-Motion to have his Suburban converted (EPA certified of course). So, he drives a NGV, and his wife drives a SUV hybrid.

            Re: My letter to the Gov

            You should probably mention that natural gas is a local product- lots of wells operate in Utah and southwest Wyoming. Pushing cng helps the Utah economy on both ends of the supply/demand curve- it is truly a win/win situation.
