  • Utah CNGchatters number 1,200 now

    Gang,

Just ran a database search and found our Utah members topped 1,200 tonight. That is almost 1/3rd of the total membership. California is second at 608 and Oklahoma third at 155. In the recent SL Tribune article the estimates of NGVs in Utah ranged from 6,000 to 20,000. We can account for at least 1,200 of them here We all appreciate everyone's great input to the forums

When I meet a non-industrial motorist filling up I always mention cngchat.com to them. Most of the people I meet don't know about the site.

My experience has been the same, most people don't know about the site.

As a matter of fact, there 7 people in my family that all drive natural gas... but I'm the only one registered on this site, although they are all aware of it, and visit occasionally.

If just 1 in 7 CNG owners register on this site, that puts utah up over 8000 CNG users, and in my experience, I'd guess the fraction of users aware of the site is less than 1 in 7.

I agree, most of the people I run into are usually at the Anaheim station, and dont know about this site and I tell them. Today there was a man in a Caravan that knew about cngprices, but not this forum, he said he had met Todd there. I got a decent 3500psi fill this morning on the 3,000 side. My local (Hemet) station is a lonely place these days (see recent photos), I have not seen another vehicle fueling there in over a month, and been getting 3700-3900psi.

I have even been mentioning the site to friends who ask great questions about driving CNG (some answers I know, others I'm stumped). I love the wealth of info here--especially for a newbie like myself. I feel so much more knowledgeable after reading what all you Professors of CNG have to say. Thanks for the help!
