  • Alpine School District Pumps

I've been then a half dozen time since I received my new gas card. The pump still say "failed" when I try and authorize.

My card works, because I've filled at Jordon School District in Sandy.

Does anyone know who to contact about this?

I've called the district and they've put in a trouble ticket for that station.

The number is 538-3440 if others want to call...

I, too, was excited to get my new Gascard and try out the pumps at the Alpine School District station in Lindon. But the pumps are inoperative. I've called and left a message with the State people at the number above. If/when they call me to give me any news, I'll report it.

The more people that call and complain the faster they will get this pump working. Come on people, start calling and complaining.

I went to this station last night and noticed there was a Out of Order sign on the South pump. I went inside and noticed a note on the card reader that said you should use pump five for CNG. I put my card in and it still says "pump failed".

Has anyone on this forum been able to fill at this station?

I don't think they can hear us. Its been at least three weeks hasn't it? I would love for the pumps to be working soon.

                Re: Alpine School District Pumps

I was able to use it the first time I went about two weeks ago. There was a guy working on the pump that is out of order. He told me that if customers turn pump on before following the instructions at the card reader that it causes the pump to fail and they have to make a trip down to Lindon.
The directions are easy but I know people are generally in a hurry and do not read instructions. Go to card reader first, follow instructions and wait until it says, "use pump".
I have been back to that pump three times since I filled up and it is always down. I have called everytime and one time they connected me to one of the repairmen who said he would be down to reset the pump. I went back twice within 24 hours but it was not working. I do not know if this was because somebody did not follow the directions or he never came.
The district pump in Sandy is great!

I had this problem 1 month ago and reported it. I went there this morning again and had the same pump failure problems. The "note" on the pay-attendant doesn't resolve anything. We need to call on a daily basis until they get it fixed.

The CNG pump is down, and the State of Utah is aware of the problem. The parts have been ordered. The site is old and the parts are hard to locate.

The correct way to use the State of Utah sites are as follows

First: Swipe card and get authorization

Second: Once your card has been authorized, you may turn on the pump and begin fueling.....

The sites are going down because the users are hooking up the nozzle to their vehicles, and turning on the pump.. Then they go and authorize their gascard.

The card reader thinks that the pumps are being used and the card is denied telling them to try later. The user tries again and again.. On the third try the entire system shuts down...

PLEASE AUTHORIZE YOUR CARD BEFORE TURNING ON THE PUMPS!

This station (Alpine school district in Lindon) is still down. I've tried to use it over the last 8 weeks and it has never been operational. I've logged a call to the state and they gave me an incident number and said they would call when it was operational again.

I have filled up there numerous times in the last week (as has my father). If you connect the pump prior to getting authorization from the gas card system, it will go into suspend mode. Last times I filled up in Lindon were Friday, the 22nd in the Afternoon and Saturday the 23rd in the morning.

I have filled at this location numerous times and you can actually snap the fill hose on the neck right away, but if you lift the start lever without getting the " approval " from inside the card kiosk then you will put the system down.
