CNG price in Utah is going down 9%

I spoke with a Questar Gas representative yesterday and he told me that CNG prices at the pump are going down 9% as of November 1st. That means CNG prices in Utah will be about 67 cents a GGE. I find it almost hilarious that while oil prices continue to rise (over $93/barrel), that natural gas prices in Utah are dropping. For those of you who don't live in Utah, Questar Gas in the only gas company in the state. In fact, they are the only gas company in the nation that owns their own wells, piping, etc. The price of natural gas is controlled by the Public Service Commission (PSC). Since Questar Gas is a monopoly, they cannot advertise their prices.

That's great! and a good thing -- 73 cents /gge is really to high!

Actually price of CNG will be 63 cents / GGE.

I filled up this morning (11/1) and it was still $0.739 in Ogden. I guess will just have to wait and see when Questar changes the price.

filled in Park City yesterday at 0.639 cents/g at about 3500psi!

That filling station in Park City is a good one. I have filled up twice there and both times I got ~3600 psi.

I will be handing out the 63 cent stickers at the new Brigham City station open house on April 14th (note this is a change in date! Refer to other threads in this Utah forum for details).
