I spoke with a Questar Gas representative yesterday and he told me that CNG prices at the pump are going down 9% as of November 1st. That means CNG prices in Utah will be about 67 cents a GGE. I find it almost hilarious that while oil prices continue to rise (over $93/barrel), that natural gas prices in Utah are dropping. For those of you who don't live in Utah, Questar Gas in the only gas company in the state. In fact, they are the only gas company in the nation that owns their own wells, piping, etc. The price of natural gas is controlled by the Public Service Commission (PSC). Since Questar Gas is a monopoly, they cannot advertise their prices.
