I recently had the displeasure of dealing Auto Excellence, one of the only dealerships in Utah who sells used CNG vehicles. If you are planning on buying a car from them make sure you plan on leaving the lot with, when you show up. I was trying to buy a Honda Civic GX from them and went up to test drive it. They said they were going to send it to the shop to pull out the extra tank, the previous owner had installed, and would call me when it was out of hte shop a couple days later. I called my broker and had the money transfered to my checking account so I would be ready to move when they called. A couple days later I swung by and they had sold it. They said they had a nother one coming in from PA, and again said they would call me and promised they would give me first shot at it. I was following up with them a couple days later and they had sold it witout even calling me again, so much for keeping their promises.
To be fair, I do understand that the Utah market for these is extremely hot right now and I'm sure many people say they want to buy and then can't get financing or flake out. Still, keeping a promise to call and give someone first shot at a car, isn't hard to do. Failing to do so, only shows a lack of dedication to your customers. I was waiting for the call so I could get an amount to have a cashiers check made out to them, I told them this and they still failed to follow up on a promise that not just one sales person, but all three, Levi, Blaine and Marty, knew about.
So, if you're in the market, for a CNG car in Utah, and being treated like the 10K+ you're going to spend, on one of these vehicles, is worthy of something resembling customer service is important to you I would personally recommend that you try to buy somewhere that understands what the term means.
That being said, I know of a great looking Blue Honda Civic GX that is for sale, out in Tooele for 15K, because I just bought it's twin. Look for it on Craigslist. The guy who's selling it will at least keep the promises he makes.
**I don't mean this as a personal attack on these guys, but I'm admittedly very frustrated with their willingness to keep promises they make. Taking care of your customers when you're busy is critical, because they are the people who will keep you going when it's slow. I also want to warn other potential customers what they can expect when they deal with these guys.**
