  • Sandy Station status thread

Questar has purchased a larger compressor and storage for the Sandy Station. It will be installed as soon as it arrives. No timeline yet but everything possible to expedite this process is being done.

      Re: Sandy Station status thread

Last I heard, they had a contractor flake out on the compressor. So they are in search for a new one. I guess the compressor they purchased is cemented into the ground, and they need to get it jackhammered out.. so it's taking longer than anticipated. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait.

Let's all hope it gets up soon. There's nothing outside 4500 south really (excpet private stations) and the airport road in west jordan (that's a drive to fill up).

I really wish they'd swap the springville cng unit with the murray

Sorry you springvillians...but there's more cng filling needed in SLC!!

          Re: Sandy Station status thread

You have to apply for the GasCard, but that only takes like 4 days to get.
          See http://cngchat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2415

Then, you can use several formerly private stations, including:
          Jordan School District #1
          200 East 9300 South
          Sandy Utah 84070

If the Jordan School district station is available will Questar still repair their Sandy station?

Has anyone heard when the Sandy station will be back on line? It has been down for almost 3 months now and the south end of the Salt Lake Valley really needs the capacity as the 45th South Station is overwhelmed.

I got an email from a Questar person that that stated simply "No Date Yet" and also reminded me that the Jordan School District staition in Sandy was open to the public. I received the email on 7/9.

                          Re: Sandy Station status thread

The Sandy station as of 8/18 has no compressor and there is little to support that it ever will.

Don't forget the Jordan School District station is only 2 miles away.

Earlier this week I saw a SemiService truck parked at the Sandy station...after all these months could Questar actually be getting ready to do something to restore this critical station?
