My wife and I recently took a trip from Salt Lake City to California to retrieve Civic GX's. On our way down and the way back we stopped in Vegas to fill up. We stopped at the pump at Romenus & Cheyenne. This isn't a commercial gas station but is actually a city service vehicle filling station. If you have the Haycock card mentioned in the sticky you'll be able to use it. On our way down we had no troubles, but coming back we stopped in with our 4 cars at about 11pm. A marshall was roaming about the premises, and upon seeing us he sped over in his cruiser to question us. He was very belligerent, and asked us if we were city employees or not. We told him we had the Haycock card and were allowed to fill there, and then he questioned us about the cars assuming they must all be stolen. It was a mess, and once we finally got him off our backs, he parked and watched us. Don't let them bully you, you can fill there. Just don't act or look suspicious and you should make it out ok.

Re: Police troubles in Vegas at Ronemus
I went through there very recently and had no trouble at all. Of course, it was during normal business hours. Not too many people around and no one seemed to even notice us.
Of course going into a city yard late at night is probably what raised suspicion, even though it is allowed.
