Time to retire this old thread... with Clean Energy taking over the stations, all but the station off Grand Central Parkway in the county offices parking lot near Downtown is still run by Haycock Petroleum, and you need their card to fill up there. It delivers about 2500 - 3000 psi and the pumps are older 3000 psi only pumps. All of the other stations now take Visa/MC.
You can not use a credit card, cash, or even poker chips to fill in Las Vegas.

The stations are unmanned, designed for government fleet vehicles, so on the weekend there is no one you can bum gas off of should you decide to not heed the following!
You must first obtain a pre-paid GASCARD from Haycock Petroleum in Las Vegas (Haycock manages all of the CNG pumps there). You can call them in advance of your trip at (702) 382-8559 and they will take your payment information and mail you a card. Or, you may go in person during business hours to fill out an application and pay for the pre-paid card. They will then direct you to one of the CNG pumps nearby. Ask for Stephanie -- she is very helpful! Note that the CFN card might work for fuels other than natural gas, but only the Haycock card will dispense CNG!
Our member mickey found the CFN card worked for him at the Washington & A St. station, details here:

Get two cards, not just one! I once had a card's magnetic strip become unreadable and would have been stuck without the other!
Also, note that the McCarran Airport station listed in the California NGV Coalition Guide has closed. My suggestion is that you head back up the 95 freeway about 8 miles to a great 3600 psi fill at the City of Las Vegas NW Service Center. Take the Cheyenne Ave. exit, head west, and you will see a turn-in lane to Ronemus Drive just before the traffic light at Buffalo Drive. Head into this short road, veer left into the non-gated area, and you will find the CNG pumps on the left past the rows of diesel pumps. One side is 3000 psi, the other 3600. Of course, this is somewhat out of your way if you are just passing through Vegas, but by doing this you will be in great shape to head either north to Utah (in a Civic you can skip St. George and make it to Cedar City), or the other direction you are safe if Barstow has problems, as you can can make it to Victorville, where there are two 24 hour access stations.
Old nostalgic text here...
