White HOV Stickers for CNG Civic Set to Expire Jan 1, 2019

AB 266 states that vehicles that received white HOV stickers before 2017 expire on Jan 1, 2019. It does not indicate that there is any provision to apply to get an extension until 2022, or some other date, such as for "green" stickers that were obtained after Jan 1, 2017. Does anyone know if there is such a provision, or do we just need to wait and cross our fingers that the white stickers will get extended again by another assembly bill, presumably sometime in 2018? I currently have a 2007 CNG Civic and I am thinking of buying a 2015 CNG Civic, but I am concerned about only having a little over one year left for the HOV stickers. Any insight from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks.

If those pre 17 white hov decals expire, about half of the Teslas and BMW electrics will be out too. Anyone think that will happen ?

I think they will be extended it’s the green stickers I can see fading away eventually

I would imagine it will probably be a rewind-repeat of before with the yellow hybrid stickers. The 85,000 stickers expired for these non-plugin hybrids and the white stickers continued on.

Correct me if I am wrong. All current white sticker holders if purchased before Jan1st 2017 will expire Jan 1 2019.

It will be renewed. It always gets renewed...

Tesla will cause the white stickers to be renewed, and Tesla could care less about the green sticker folks.

How can you say it will be renewed? There is zero ambiguity in the law. It ends 1/1/19. Done deal. No exceptions! We are screwed
