Grand Junction water dept has installed photovoltaic cells that will cover approx 12% of their electrical needs.
For CNG, local gas company Encana Oil and Gas (along with Fed and state grants) has installed a public cng refueling site providing critical stop between Price, UT and Rifle, CO. Transit buses and other cng vehicles are enjoying the public cng pump.
Waste water treatment plant in Grand Junction is attempting to capture methane that is simply burned off daily at around 400 gge equivalent per day!!
