  • Clean Energy fueling station @ OKC now open

Clean Energy's pumps are now on at the OKC fueling station. Pump price currently is 1.349 gge.

The bad news is that if you run 3k tanks, you are SCREWED. Do not even think about going there to get fuel as all it will be is a sight seeing trip for ya.

I cannot use enough adjectives to describe how completely ticked off I am about this. I mean, for real, spend all this money to build a nice new station. Two pumps with two fueling hose's each and they cannot even give us 3k'ers one hose to fill with?!

    arugh.

I guess I am not done ranting ..

To show how utterly stupid this is is that on a regular basis I see other people *all-the-freaking-time* whilst fueling either in OKC or Tulsa. Guess what, if those people are at an ONG station they sure as heck are not going to be fueling at the new CE station.

What really ticks me off about this shutout is that this station is on my way to work. I drive by it every day and I cannot even fuel there. It is ...

    screw it .. I'm done.

Does anyone have the address for this station? It needs to get posted at www.cngprices.com along with the comment for 3600 psi only. I could not find it on CE's web site either:

I visited the station last week and address should be approximately 6000 Terminal Drive. It is the intersection of Terminal Drive and Amelia Earhart Lane. CORRECTION: Official address will be Amelia Earhart Lane as you do turn off of Terminal Drive onto Amelia Earhart.

Yes all pumps were 3,600 psi.

If . . . and that is BIG IF . . . . price stays low, I might be less harsh on CE. My gut tells me the $1.34 per gge is a teaser rate.

Please . . . . Tulsa Gas Tech now get to work raising all ONG pumps to at least 3,300 psi and making the dispenser work with low/medium/high . . . . Please !!!

I think it will be an Amelia Earhart address instead of Terminal Drive. You need to turn off of Terminal Drive and onto Amelia to enter the station ...

I was able to fill up, but it took me a few minutes to figure out how to operate the pumps. They are quite different than the ONG pumps.

What do you drive and did the receipt contain any information about pressures?

I have an 09 civic (I knew I wouldn't have any issues). It took a minute or two to figure out that i had to turn the valve on the handle 180 degrees for it to lock and then lift the handle on the pump. I didn't print a receipt, but I did get "one bar" from getting completely full. It was probably 3500+.

Nice! How empty were ya and how long did it take to fill up?

I had 5 or 6 bars left when I pulled in and it took 5.4 gges which probably put me somewhere above 6 total. I have driven 40 miles since filling up and have yet to fall below the 3000 psi full mark on the gauge. If filling up there extends my tank range by that amountevery time I will be very happy.

The station is operational but officially we are still in test fueling phase, we are looking for any kinks or startup issues we may encounter before doing an official grand opening

There will be a 3000psi nozzle at the station shortly.

                          yay!

If I may be so bold .. it would really be handy if it was installed on a pump facing the south.

Oklahoma Service Tech for Clean Energy here. If anyone has any fueling questions, i will try to answer them. I noticed that some people are having trouble with the new style pump nozzle. First off let me say I have fueled at the ONG sites and i understand how many of you can become confused. The old snap-and open a valve to pressurize and close valve to vent days are over. These nozzles are designed to be fast friendly and efficient. First off always connect nozzle before swiping card. The dispensors are on a timeout and if it takes you along period of time to get your nozzle hooked up and you had already swiped your card, you might be standing around trying to figure out why your dispensor is not working and end up having to swipe your card again. So, like I said first off connect your nozzle. This is the simplest way i can explain, there are two arrrows on the nozzle, when you go to slide onto recepiticle the arrows need to face each other -><-(vehicle). After you are slid on slowly lock nozzle in place by rotating handle around 180 deg so arrows are both pointing toward vehicle ->->(vehicle). Now you are ready to swipe card, follow on screen and lift handle when it says ok start pumping. Now there is a percentage screen to the left of the main screen on the dispensor this screen is based on a 3600 lb fill. When vehicle is full 100% will flash. Then close handle and remove nozzle slowly using same process in reverse. If anyone needs more help I shoud be at site later in week. Ill try to post certain days. So i can quickly show anyone more, thats what im here
                            for!

oh oh oh oh oh what do I spy with my little eye? Could it be a pump missing a 3600 fueling hose?

Rock on. You guys are the best!

I apologize for the previous rant, I had sold my wife on going CNG because of this new station and the potential of not being able to fuel there was huge hit to take driving dedicated CNG's. I did not want to vent on the dudes I talked to there that day as they were super nice.
