  • CNG Price Increase

Anybody else notice that ONG pumps are at $1.14 this morning instead of 90 cents? Or is it just the 71st & Union Tulsa station?

Its everywhere. I filled up yesterday morning in Broken Arrow at .909 and yesterday evening at the cherokee industrial plant for 1.149.

Damn guys... a 26% increase overnight!! The sky is falling
I thought the price was only set once per year in the fall

Oh well... my nuclear car is almost finished. Where can I get some plutonium?

You might check with Doc Brown, I hear he had some for powering up his flux capacitor. Maybe he's got surplus.

Bad news . The vendor for the flux capacitor is GFI , and like the infamous compuvalve, it's on backorder till Nov. 2010. Now the Plutonium will be easy , Iran now even has extra to sell.Saw it on E-Bay.

You guys are missing the point---If you had the flux capacitor, you could get to 2010 and pick up another one. It's the "Mr. fusion" that you really need to power the car. Check E-bay, there are always several listed.

I thought thought I read somewhere that Oklahoma CNG prices were set for the year in Nov. From you CNG veterans I want to know if the price fluctuates much? I have a GX on order and want to know what to expect. Anyone have experience with the ONG station on SE 59th. What is the reliabilty of that station? Can I expect consistant fills. On a fill there should I expect to get 3/4 of a tank or more if I come in around 1/8 tank? After heat disapation and avg. fill pressure?

those prices dont seem too-bad as I pay $1.62 per gallon of Natural gas but I dont have any fueling stations around here, I only have my personal slow fueling station at my home.

Not really complaining but curious how price is set. When I started looking into cngv's 6 weeks ago the ONG pumps were at .91/gge. I have been looking at this for 6 weeks and there has been one price change and it was 25%. And the increase came as the market price of NG was in free fall:

Just curious how the Oklahoma price fluctuates or is set if anyone knows.

Still an outstanding value, nothing to get upset about.
Now if they raised the price and don't maintain or upgrade thier equipment, then I'd get upset!

The reason cng went up in Oklahoma is because they found out I was buying a cng car. I don't think I can afford it now.

                            Yahooty,
Your right, an over $2.00 a gallon savings on fuel is hard to take in these trying times. I feel your pain, LOL

                              Re: CNG Price Increase

Here in Oklahoma, it was 91cents for a LONG time, during my several months of research. I finally pulled the trigger and bought an NGV... within 2 weeks of getting home, it had made the jump to $1.14. Still, considering regular gasoline is $3.35, I'm still saving a couple of bucks a gallon.

Now, if I could just get enough of a fill to make the entire round trip (100 miles home and back to the pump)... fortunately, the F150 bi-fuel kicks in and gets me that last 20 or so miles back into town. That's based on getting slightly over 1/2 tank on fillup. Those rare nights when I get 3/4 tank, it's full round trip and I dance a jig

71st and Union seems to be less likely to give a good fill than 15th and Sheridan, but is right on the way home, vs the 15th street station being 7 miles out of the way.
