    Anyone here in the Alabama/Georgia region? I am interested in one of these cars since I drive 110 miles a day round trip to work and my 2004 Nissan Frontier pickup that gets 26 MPG is killing me in gas. I contacted Phill and was sent the standard "Don't have them in your area" message but thought about finding a way to set up a filling station. Does anyone have experience with establishing a public filling station?
    Thanks.

    Re: Alabama

    No problem if you have a few years and a few hundred thousand $$$$.

    Assuming you have Natural Gas service I think what you want to do is buy a CNG vehicle and a home refueling pump used (on eBay or a gov auction or from a dealer like Murphy.) Sounds like it will be strictly a commuter car since there aren't any stations around. But prepare to be shocked at the price of CNG vehicles these days!

      Hey Eldon;

      Welcome. I believe that you and I are the only southeasterners (I'm in NC) in the forum, and boy do I feel a lot less lonely! How about these guys? If you are not too far east/north of Atlanta, perhaps they can set you up.

      Also, there is a thread that weighs in on the Phill vs. other Fuelmaker home fueling appliances, and you might want to read that first, especially given your high mileage.

      Best of luck!

          Re: Alabama

          I visited the folks at Phoenix last week and would highly reccomend them. I drove down from Kentucky for some parts, and for my two cents, found the owner very helpful and chalked full of knowledge. The public fueling station in Birmingham was selling fuel at 1.36/gge.

          Regards,
