IVECO 11 Nov 2121 - 65 IVECO S-WAY LNG trucks supplied to Lithuanian transport operator Vlantana

In a first phase, Vlantana will use the new IVECO S-WAY LNG trucks on European routes where the distribution network is in place. The European Union’s Green Deal is driving a strong focus on sustainable transport solutions across its member states, where the number of refuelling stations is growing fast and already covers the main transport corridors.

IVECO Press Room 26 July 2021 - IVECO launches projects to promote the benefits of natural gas

Natural gas propulsion technology is the mature solution available today to reduce the environmental impact of the transport sector. This positive impact can be even stronger with biomethane which, today, accounts for 17% of natural gas used in transport.

IVECO has pioneered natural gas technology for more than 20 years. With more than 45,000 natural gas vehicles sold, it now offers the IVECO S-WAY with a range of up to 1,600 km (1000 mi) in the LNG version.

The natural gas distribution network currently counts 4,021 refueling stations according to NGVA. This network can also be used to distribute bio-LNG as production volumes of biomethane grow.

IVECO Press Room 12/15/2021 - 27 European companies talk biomethane scale-up with EU Energy Commissioner

IVECO and 27 companies and organizations in the biomethane value chain presented the “Biomethane Declaration” to the European Energy Commissioner. The Declaration advocates for the recognition of biomethane’s role in the decarbonization pathways as the most effective, affordable, scalable and sustainable gas available today. It highlights the collective ambition of its signatories to scale up biomethane application across Europe to at least 350 TWh (33 billion m3) by 2030.

IVECO has pioneered sustainable transport solutions and, with more than 25 years’ experience, is today the industry leader in gas mobility with more than 40,000 vehicles sold.

Sarah Smith for LNG Industry 04 Feb 2022 - HAM launches new LNG mobile service station

HAM Group has launched a new concept of a mobile and transportable service station, which allows the refueling of LNG and CNG. The EDUX service station provides the optimal temperature of the different brands: Volvo, Scania, or Iveco.

The mobile unit has 60 000 l (60 m3) of LNG capacity, works at low pressures (2 - 3 bar), has a submerged pump, and can supply up to 12 000 kg/h of LNG. The gas station has two ‘on the fly’ conditioning systems and has two CNG and two LNG dispensers, with a nozzle designed by HAM, with a ‘nofrost’ system and a double anchoring system and closing, avoiding leaks or losses of liquid, in addition to facilitating disconnection without emission of gas into the air.

Reuters 21 Feb 2022 - LNG demand is expected to almost double to 700M tonnes by 2040.

As reported by Royal Dutch Shell, LNG has a key role to play to support renewable energy.

LNG prices lurched from record lows under $2 per mmBtu in 2020 to a high of $56 in Oct 2021. Prices currently stands at $25. China and South Korea led growth in LNG demand in 2021 with China increasing its imports by 12M tonnes to 79M. Last year China signed long-term contracts for more than 20M tonnes a year.

The United States led export growth with a year-on-year increase of 24M tonnes. The U.S. Energy Information Administration projects that U.S. LNG exports will reach 11.5B cubic feet per day in 2022, becoming the world's largest LNG exporter ahead of Australia and Qatar.
