I have been advising my M.L.A that it would be a good thing for him to push n.g for cars. Whatever party wants my vote had better come up with something because the price of oil will go back up. The benefits of n.g on the motor have become clear as I resurrected my old 350 Chev that had over 100,000 k,s with n.g There is is minimal wear on the bore and the motor is running fine. No natural gas up here in Kamloops though. Get on the e-mails boys and girls and givem hell...

Been through Kamloops, nice country. If there isn't CNG there is always the old standby LPG. What is LP going for up there? When I first bought LP in Canada it was about .32/liter Canadian. When I was in Ontario in Sepatember of '07 it was 1.02/liter Canadian - and gasoline was about the same.

      Hi Clint :

I have also written several letters to my M.LA. asking for CNG support.

For the life of me, I can't understand why Provincial and Federal Governments are not supporting CNG as a transportation fuel. Premier Campbell talks a mean game with regards to reducing B.C.'s greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector, but prefers to simply tax gasoline to promote use reduction. To bad we are not offered support, or supplied with any incentive to use alternatives like CNG. I think Premier Campbell is also GaGa about starting a Hydrogen Highway from California all the way to Whistler.

Clint, I don't mean to discourage You any more than you probably already are, but if you want to watch an interesting video on how home grown CNG technology and know how it is being exported and used all over the world, except right here in B.C. and Canada, go to www.imw.ca. Go to the bottom of this page, and watch the Global TV New story. Premier Campbell offers insight in to CNG.

        Hi Larrycng :

There are quite a few stations all over the Province, here in B.C, that offer LP for vehicle fuel. One really shouldn't worry about locating a LP station.

My Brother-In-Law is quite happy with LP system he has in his 1979 Silverado with the 400 Ci engine.

Currenly, in the Vancouver area, you can purchase LP from .59 to .69 per Litre, where the lowest grade gasoline is currently selling for about .90 a Litre. (multiply any Litre price by 3.78541 to obtain price per U.S. Gallon)

Also, just so that you know, the average Litre price for CNG, in the Vancouver area, is about .74/Litre.
