CNG Vehicles in Canada

Hi,
I'm trying to find out how many CNG vehicles there are in Canada these days?
CNG buses are my main focus, but any information would be a great help.

When I visit the Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Aliance's web page at :

1. Click on the "Media" link

1. click on "...MTO Green passenger vehicles Project - May 2008

Page 2 of the PDF document states that there are "about 6000 Light Duty vehicles" operating in the Province of Ontario.

Also, from what I can gather, there are about 3,500 NGVs operating in and around the Vancouver British Columbia area.

I think if you spend some time searching www.ngvglobal.com, you will be able to find how many NGVs are operating in each individual Country.

I don't really know how many Buses in Canada that are operating in CNG, but I do know the number, here in Vancouver, is substancial. Perhaps a telephone call to your local Transit Depot will yield the results you are looking for.

Here's one source I found with world stats:
Canada - 12,140 total, 9,500 cars/ldvs, 240 md/hd buses, 2400 others.
85 public refueling stations, 16 private, 3745 VRAs.
Argentina still leads with 1,698,700 (03/08), Pakistan is catching up with 1,650,000 (01/08), USA 100,000 as of 12/07
