Thanks to Mike Dickerson for his hard work for pushing this certification through, and to those who provided the their input and help.
The CNG Fuel System Inspector Certification offered by CSA America is now
Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
Benefits of an accredited certification The CSA America CNG Fuel System Inspector (CNG-FSI) certification is the only accredited certification available in North America for CNG fuel system inspectors. The certification covers the inspection of containers, valves, PRDs (including vent system) and other fuel system components of compressed natural gas powered vehicles.
ANSI accreditation means this certification has met the stringent program requirements based on the International Standard ISO 17024. ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 – General requirements for bodies operating certification schemes for persons – sets out guidelines for the development and maintenance of professional certification programs to ensure fairness and reliability to candidates while meeting the requirements of the public and industry stakeholders.
By earning this accreditation, CSA America demonstrates to our customer and stakeholders our commitment to delivering a superior certification program which recognizes the knowledge, competencies and professionalism of CNG Fuel System Inspectors. CSA America is committed to making a better, safer, more sustainable world where standards work for people and business through personnel certification programs, standards development and advisory services.
