2 New CA Bills HOT and HOV lanes make it OK for NGV's!!

As per cngvc.org. there are 2 new bills. Lets get some feedback here..

1)SB 927 | Huff
In brief: Spot bill on HOV lanes.
Details: The Legislature is considering two bills, AB 1500 (Lieu) and SB 535 (Yee) that would extend HOV lane access for NGVs. AB 1500 is sponsored by the Coalition.
Status: Awaits committee referral.

2) AB 744 | Torrico
In brief: Authorizes the Bay Area Toll Authority to develop a high-
occupancy toll (HOT) lane network within the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s nine-county jurisdiction.
Details: The Legislature is considering whether vehicles with access to HOV lanes, such as NGVs, should be allowed to travel free in HOT lanes.
Status: In Senate Appropriations Committee.

For the CNGVC page it should load up automatically if you have a recent browser.

For the legislation,
1) go to www.sen.ca.gov
2) Click on legislation
3) type the SB or AB number your looking for

'In process' is a big step ahead compared to 'Inactive file.' They won't cost any money, and give benefits to constituents, and it passed almost unanimously on previous committee votes. AB744 is sponsored by Torrico who was cited as tabling AB1500, so that's also a good sign. I'm excited now and will be relieved when it finally passes.
