Re: fuelmaker
At this time , a few Fuelmaker dealers have some new ,pre-bankrupt Phill and F.M. units. I do not know if the new company will honor warranties .The new manufacturer will not start taking orders untin Jan 2010.
Before Fuelmaker went out of business " Phill " list price was over $ 4,000 + shipping and install. F.M.Q. , somewhere around 9-10k new.
Used units can be found for about 1/2 price of new.
Rumors are that the 2010 models will be higher price.
My " Phill " unit has 2500 hours on it and is still working at this time. I only use it as a backup , if the car is nearly empty when I come home. I would use it all the time if I was sure I could get it re-built at end of service life.
The new manufacturer has not released any service / policy/price info yet.

Re: fuelmaker
The biggest problem with any CNG vehicle is that you need to have access to a reliable source of fuel in order for the thing to be of any use. This is why CNG-fueled vehicles are ideally suited for large fleets that operate in defined geographic areas and return to a central terminal at the end of the day or work shift (think of a transit bus or UPS/FedEx delivery vehicle).
