Does Utah still have the $1000 tax credit for purchase/install of a home refuling unit?
    Thanks!

    Re: Tax credit

    Carol,
I don't believe there ever was a Utah credit for installing home refuelers. The federal credit is now $2,000 however

      Re: Tax credit

The fed increased the credit from $1000 to $2000 in the stimulus package. The NAT GAS ACT (hr1826? when congress returns to session) hopefully will spur commercial development more and provide incentives for vehicles. The senate passed it 393 to 35. (something close to that anyway)

The Senate's only got 100 voters... regardless, I didn't think it had made it to a real vote in either the house OR the senate (HR.1835, and S.1408).

So, is there a $200. tax credit (before 12/31/2010) for home refueling?

Yes, the home refueling installation tax credit was $2,000 through 2010 and went back to $1,000 now.
            See IRS form 8911

              Re: Tax credit

I heard that the tax credit for the Phill and the GX civic could be rolled over if one did not qualify for previous years. Is this correct? I purchased my GX and Phill in 2007, but did not qualify due to high income. I think I may qualify this year if I could apply for it again. Any info? Thanks.

                Re: Tax credit

Sorry, I think the credit must be taken in the tax year that the equipment was placed into service. Check the instructions for form 8911. And it is not specific to the Fuelmaker Phil or the GX... any non-business CNG refueling equipment is eligible (for example the FM-Q2-36 I installed at home for my CNG Impala).
