Okay folks, here is the latest from Alvarez & Marsal. I just got off the phone (8:00 am 04/23/2009) with Amanda Savitte the current FuelMaker administrator for A&M.
Ms Savitte stated that, "the negotiations we are in today, indicate that we are very close to a sale of FuelMaker". She would not indicate if it was a Canadian or other company, other than to say "the potential purchaser has indicated that they want to purchase the complete assets of FuelMaker and a desire to continue manufacturing a complete product line has been communicated".
She also told me that they would keep the public interests updated at this link:
Posted there is also a letter to customers of fuelmaker products. http://www.alvarezandmarsal.com/en/c...dCustomers.pdf
Those with Fuelmaker products in need of service (Phill or otherwise) can contact the indicated representative in the letter; those with warranty issues have to wait.
For the those who purchased a current model GX, and were promised a reduced price on a VRA if they purchased a GX (see attached brochure) need to contact your Honda Dealer. Ms. Savitte told me that Honda has contacted all their GX dealers directly on this matter. (Maybe Curtis can Phill us in on Honda's position in this matter, as he works for a Honda company).
At this point all legal conditions regarding GX owners and Phill, indicate Honda IS open to a class action lawsuit.
Those interested can contact me.
