I was wanted to know if it is worth buying a fm3 fuelmaker for 3,200? Is that a good price for one? I know it is a older fulemaker but do they work this as good as the new one and is there any issues with them that I should know about?

I had the same question a few weeks ago. I would pass if it's a C3. You can see the responses I got here: http://cngchat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3363

Re: fm3 fulemaker? 3,200 worth it
I am probably too late on this. But the C3 must have had some bad press in the US because many here in Ontario Canada, where Fuelmaker is built and located, prefer the C3 over the FM series. It is felt that Fuelmaker realized the C3 was superior, but could market the FM series easier, therefore they poo-pood the C3 and put it down.
I know of a firm in the states that is re-engineering the C3 since the patents for the C3 has expired. These bunch of engineers know the C3's capability and dependibility. They believe it is a superior unit.
Peersonally I have both a C3 and FM4 to fill my vehicles. At first I used the FM4, but for the last 4 years have been preferring the C3 as a fill unit.
Please read the following which I learned from the Research department at Union Gas Limited who had an excellent NGV/CNG program before Duke Energy bought bought Union Gas and was not interested in CNG....
We have an inventory of roughly 90-100 C3's. We also have spare parts for the C3. We have hundreds of hoses for C3's. We have lots of parts available.
FYI Fuelmakler designed and made the C1 as a prototype ( we have one of these). The next version was the C2 then the C3 in the 80's (not very old).
The C3 was too expensive for the average user, so their board of directors approached their engineers asking them to design an appliance with the same output, safety, diagnostics as the C3, but with a lower price. The engineers came up with the FM4 (Fuelmaker 4) which Fuelmaker started selling at a much lower price. The FM4 evolved to the FMQ etc etc.
