I just read on GreenCarCongress.com that Clean Energy (CE) has
purchased the entire Fuelmaker Corporation from American Honda and Fuelmaker for $17 million. The story was dated Sept 8th and indicates the deal should be closing very soon.
I wonder what this means for the future of home refueling? First, T. Boone Pickens and his Clean Energy company take over many of the retail CNG refueling locations (and in most cases jack up the price of CNG), and now they are taking over the only maker of home refueling units.
I didn't see anything about this on any other CNG Chat pages, so I'm curious if anyone knows anything about this deal? And what it means for us??
Thanks.
