  • Anyone install tanks in L.A.?

    Hey all,

I got a new used tank. It seems to be in good shape. Does anyone in the So Cal area install tanks? The tank fits perfectly in the back of my 1998 Honda GX. I have the brackets. I need it installed safely and professionally. If you have any ideas get back. (I've been to Enviromech in Long Beach and they want $1600. Ouch!)

I'm not sure if they're still in business, but try calling AFTech in Huntington Beach at 714.842.3017.

They re-plumbed the filler stem for my '97 CNG CV a few years ago and charged me a very fair price for doing so. ($400 or so, instead of $1,200 for the Ford OEM filling stem.)

EDIT: I called them a few minutes ago & they're still in business.

I just called them. Thanks a lot!!! I think they'll be cheaper than $1600!

Let us know what the price is. I'm sure others want to know besides me.

ATF in HB quoted me $1,500 for the install. (That's $100 less than Enviromech in LB.)

You could also run it up to Vegas, Jason will take care of you:

We could also help you in Phoenix at NaturalDrive. Send me a PM as we are kinda jammed right now with certification work, not sure when we can work it in.

                        gringostar,

Please post photos and report the outcome of the installation, cost, new range, change in handling, etc.

                        Look forward to seeing it.

                        Thanks

hope you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the new-used tank? where to buy? and whats the size?
                          thanks
