I have Honda Civic 2002 GX. My Fuel Pressure Regulator is Leaking. What can I do?

Should I rebuilt it or get a re manufacturer part? Or is there any other alternative.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank You

In California on a 2002 under 150,000 miles, the regulator is covered by the California Emissions Warrenty. Take it to a dealer.

Good luck, I tried to get a malfunctioning FPR fixed/rebuilt when I had my 99 GX and no one would or could work on it. The manufacturer was no help either they said talk to Honda who wanted to sell me a new $1800 FPR.

The FPR is a pretty simple device (I opened mine up). It basically looks and probably works like a water pressure regulator similar to what is used in homes, of course it is built to operate with CNG and at high pressures. There is a diaphragm and a couple of springs. It is probably the diaphragm that wears out but it seems difficult to get replacement parts.

If you find someone willing to rebuild or repair your FPR please post the details here as many more GX users could find this information helpful.

Wow, that's cool. You sure have gotten a lot of miles out of it then. It seems to me there was somone else on the board that was trying to do something similar a while back. Sorry, don't remember who or when. You might try a search.
