  • Oklahoma City CNG Tech/mechanic

Hello, I'm looking for a cng tech/mechanic to install extra tanks in my cng vehicles. Also have a non-running cng bi-fuel contour that needs check out before it's stripped of cng parts. If runs great on gasoline. If anyone has names and numbers, please pm, email or post if it's allowed. Thanks, Wes

I don't know what all we will be doing but we are gearing up to do CNG conversions in Okarche at Carter Chevrolet. It might be worth a call to see. I'll be in CNG class all week myself but my manager is already certified. the dealership number is 405-263-7252. You might talk with my service manager, Erick Farley as he is the only one with state license at this point although our sister company OEM will probably be doing the tank installs for the mostpart and those guys are in the class with me this week. Don't you have to be certified by the state to work on CNG vehicles in Oklahoma?
          What is "CSA"?

In Oklahoma you have to be certified by the state to install CNG systems, which is accomplished by taking a test at the DCS Alternative Fuels Division. The CSA certification is for a tank inspector. CNG tanks required a detailed visual inspection every 36 months or after an accident. A list of CSA certified tank inspectors can be found at http://peoplesearch.csa-america.org/default.asp
