    Hi All!

This guy I know is interested in converting his 1964 Chevrolet Impala To CNG. He is trying to get GM's 5.7L v8 into the car, buy a CARB certified kit for that particular engine, and full-steam ahead from there. I told him that I was sure there were large legal hurdles to that approach. What do ya'll think?

    Thanks for your help!

Doesn't that defeat the classic nature of an old car if you put anew engine in it?

1964 is before emissions controls so would be exempt from needing a certified kit. But you can get the sticker without the certified kit.
