  • Older Engines and CNG ?

I was talking to a mechanic today where I work about converting a 1972 GMC with a 350 engine to cng. His concern was wheather an older engine would last as it was built to run on leaded gas. Also he wondered if cng burns hotter and thus damage the valves etc. If this conversion would work ok who makes the better kit, Impco or Technocarb? Thanks

not a problem with burning too hot, but a lack of lubrication on the valve seatws would cause them to wear faster.
