What was your primary motivation behind buying a NGV?

I think this is an important question. Please only select ONE answer.

I'll start this off. I believe this has to do a lot with where you live. I live in Utah and so my primary motivation for buying a NGV was the price. You just can't beat 64 cents per GGE. For me the ~$3,000 tax credit was just the icing on the cake.

I'd have to say the price of fuel and the fact that i got the truck that ran and i could fix for about $175 dollars didn't hurt in my decision either

To supplement my HOV poll response -

Here in the beautiful Nor CA Bay Area, CNG gets FREE bridge toll through 2010 (and hopefully extended ...) - that is currently $4 (paid in one direction) and always going up - But I have saved more than double the bridge toll savings on the lower fuel cost in my first 20,000 miles since last May. It also is great not to use a refined pertroleum product - but I can't be too smug about that - except with a Prius owner. Prius's get HOV access, but they still have to pay the bridge tolls ....

When I did my GX fuel tank recall two months ago - a guy with a 2007 GX pulled in to the dealership - he was so excited because his well decked out GX (leather, sport wheels added on by previous owner, and he had just bought it off e-bay) was in his terms a real "chick magnet" in the Green SF Peninsula beltway. It even had a "terrapass" decal on it from the previous owner.

So now I want to take good care of my CVT for many years/miles of service ...

Just let me say thanks to Utah and Questar gas. I Love you at .639 per GGE

After driving an 86 ford f-250 diesel pick-up for 21 years, I decided it was time to clean up my act. I actually get better milage with the cng f-250 than I ever got with the diesel. Joe
