Is CNG better than LPG as per running cost for a car?

Hi!
Since Petrol prices are only moving up , is there any better alternative for petrol vehicles ?, is CNG / LPG a better alternative now !, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using the present alternative fuel. and of course, whats the future fuel ?

I like LP and run a bi-fuel Ford pu, and train people on CNG. You will need to check the price and availability for both fuels in your area. Next check what it will cost to convert to one or the other. Lp will probably be cheaper on the conversion. The CNG will probably be more because of the fuel storage tank cost. As far a what is best for the engine and environment, CNG wins that one. You will have to weight to cost vs the pay back vs availablilty vs what you like.

I'm near Kaiserslautrn, Germany for the next couple of days. I have not seen a CNG vehicle except at the Mecedes Museum and no CNG fuel stations. I have seen one LP vehicle fuel station wanting 0.85 euros per liter.

A big factor for me when doing my initial research was fuel availability. In my area, LP stations tend to be open M-F 8-5 only. Since I have NG service at home, I am able to fuel at home with a compressor, a great arrangement for convenience and stable, low cost.
