Dear Colleague:

South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), located in Diamond Bar, performs work critical to the health and well-being of over 17 million people living in four Southern California counties. We seek two Air Quality Specialists with expertise and experience in mobile source emissions, alternative fuels, zero emission technologies, and air quality regulations to work in our Technology Advancement and Mobile Source units, and we’re writing to ask for your assistance in spreading the word.

Because this field is so specialized, traditional advertising is not likely to bring good results, so we hope you might help. If you know of any colleagues who might be interested, please forward this e-mail to them or direct them to http://www.aqmd.gov/hr/neogov/current-jobs.htm for all details on how to apply.

These are journey-level positions, requiring a related degree and two years’ directly related professional experience. The positions earn from $6,419 to $7,953 PER MONTH, with excellent benefits and working conditions, and a 4/10 work schedule. The closing date for this posting has been extended to 5:00 p.m., November 6, 2009.

We’re trying to get the word out quickly, as candidates must submit original transcripts to document their education, which adds time to the process. We appreciate any help you can provide!

Sincerely,

Bill Richards
