After using the POI found on this forum I quickly figured out that it had a lot of location errors. It gets you close but many times it's not close enough.
I'm starting with the POI located on this forum and will be updating it with better coordinates and other information for the stations. I've already started with the stations in Southern California along the 405 between Irvine and Culver City but I can only do so much so I need your help.
I'd like everyone with a GPS to get the coordinates for the stations they visit. I'd like this not only for California but every where else in the country. In addition I'd like as much information as you can get about the stations.
What I need is:
I'll put this together and publish it in Excel, CSV, TomTom OV2 and Garmin file formats. I'll also post it on the several of the main POI sites as I can but the master copy will be kept here.
Let's all pull together and make the best CNG POI around. We can do this but it will take all of us to pull it off.
TomTom owners, which includes myself: I'm trying to get TomTom's new format that allow posting details. The initial release won't have that information but as soon as I can find out how TT does it I'll add the additional information to the ov2 files.

What I need is:
- Latitude and Longitude in decimal format with as many digits of accuracy that you can get. Try to get the Latitude and Longitude right at the station pumps. I'll check them on Google Earth and adjust as needed.
- Station name, i.e., SoCal Gas Base, Garden Grove. Unlike the pocked guide I'll list the company first then the location.
- Station address: The real address of the station which may not be the same as listed in the guides or the company sites. An example of this is the SoCal Gas, Garden Grove Base where the address listed is the the entrance to the Base and the station is on a different street on the other side of the yard.
- Phone Number.
- Operating Hours, if other than 24hrs a day, and any other access information.
- Station pressure.
- Payment method.
