  • I need leads for equipment to construct a commercial fueling station.

    Hey guys,

Neophyte here. I work for a natural gas exploration company and we're looking to diversify. We've an abundance of Natural Gas, so the gas is free. We're looking to establish ourselves in the retail sector vis a vis cng fueling stations. So, what I need are leads for commercial equipment like high-volume, high-pressure storage tanks, compressors, dryers, filters, etc. The whole spiel to set up a cng fueling station.

    Appreciate the help.

Click on my name and send me an email and I'll give you as many leads as you want. Tom is a good place to start, but you'd be in competition with him.

This is the business Tom Sewell at Tulsa Gas Tech is in (www.tulsagastech.com). He supplies fueling infrastructure equipment to many companies including some middle east countries who'd rather have their citizens use natural gas so they can export their more valuable and more easily exportable crude oil. In addition, all of the Oklahoma Natural Gas refueling stations I've seen use the fueling pumps manufactured by Tom's company.

The following links are interesting and give some background on his company:

Photos of some of the equipment manufactured by Tulsa Gas Technologies in Tulsa, OK: http://alternativefuels.about.com/od...c-CNG-pump.htm

"Tulsa Gas Technologies, Inc. (TGT) of Tulsa, Oklahoma has played a leadership role in the natural gas industry by providing quality service and high tech equipment to companies, governmental agencies and associations worldwide that sell, use and promote alternative fuels."

Re: I need leads for equipment to construct a commercial fueling station.

There is research out there in using liquid natural gas to fill compressed natural gas cylinders without compressors. high pressure compressors are a very large expense.

                Check out http://www.inl.gov/lng

There is also some refrigeration technology being done at Los Alamos.

the idea is to use raw gas to refrigerate it into a liquid for shipment without a large LNG plant.

check out this type of technology.

Notice that there is no high pressure compressor. only a cryogenic pump. As you know a high pressure compressor is one of the main reasons why more CNG filling station are not around.
